Privacy Policy

InteractInk ("we," "our," or the "Platform") is a free, anonymous text board. This policy explains what data we do and don't collect, how it's handled, and what happens when a third party is involved.

1. We don't collect personal information

There's no sign-up on InteractInk, so we never ask for or store your:

• Name, physical address, or email;
• Phone number or device ID;
• Social media profile, avatar, or any other identity linked to another platform.

Because there's no account system, we have no logs that connect a real-world identity to anything posted on the board.

2. What gets sent and logged when you post

Posting or replying sends your text to our database. Here's specifically what that involves:

• Posts and replies: published publicly and identified by a random 8-character ID, not by an account.
• Tripcodes: the short tag under your replies (like Anon#a1b2) is generated in your browser from a private key that never leaves your device. It's a one-way hash — it lets people tell posters apart within a thread, but it can't be reversed to identify you.
• Server logs: like almost every website, our servers briefly log IP addresses as part of normal traffic handling. We use these logs only to block spam and abusive traffic (denial-of-service attacks, bots, etc.), and they're deleted on a regular schedule.

3. Local storage and cookies

InteractInk stores a few small things directly in your browser — like your tripcode seed and which threads you've viewed — using localStorage. This data stays on your device; we don't have access to it and it's never sent to our servers.

4. Advertising and analytics

We run a small amount of advertising and basic analytics to cover hosting costs. These third-party providers may set their own cookies and collect general, non-identifying traffic data (like rough location or browser type) to serve ads and measure site usage.

We don't sell or share your activity with data brokers. We'll only hand over server logs if legally required to — for example, by a valid court order or subpoena.

5. Data deletion requests (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)

Because we don't collect usernames, emails, or any other identifier tied to a person, we have no way to find or delete a specific individual's posts on request — we simply have nothing that links a post back to a requester's identity. Content posted publicly to the board is not something we can selectively erase after the fact based on a personal data request.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes or as laws require. Any changes will be posted here, with the "Last Updated" date at the top reflecting the most recent revision.
